Tips and Tricks

For an opaque, homogeneous primer, it is best to spray Marabu Chalky Chic Spray in several thin coats in a criss-cross pattern, first vertically, then horizontally. Wait 2-3 minutes between coats. Make a turning movement outside the object.
Shake the can of Marabu Chalky Chic Spray again after each pause in spraying.
After the last spray cycle, turn the can upside down and spray the valve empty. This will prevent the valve from clogging.

How it is done:

Prepare the drawers before designing. Make sure the wood is clean, dry and free of dust. Mask the drawer fronts with masking tape and cover the area of the drawer that is not to be coloured with paper.
Then you can start spraying. First, cover the work area well (e.g. with cardboard or paper) and protect the work environment from paint mist. It is best to spray outdoors or provide adequate ventilation. Shake the can thoroughly for 2-3 minutes; the mixing ball should be clearly audible. Spray on a piece of cardboard or newspaper as a test, then spray the drawer fronts individually. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.
Next, prepare the signs with the numbers. Prime some of the signs with Chalky Chic Spray as described above. Also prime some of the signs with Marabu Colorado Gold.
Once the paint is dry, it's time to write. Use the gold and white metallic pens and the gold glitter pens to write the numbers. Let it dry well.
Finally, attach the labels to the drawers. It is best to use removable stickers so they can be easily removed after Christmas.
