Tips and Tricks
- The contents of the bag (25 g) are sufficient for intensive dyeing of 150 g fabric. For fabric quantities up to 300 g fabric you will achieve medium to delicate dyeings.
How it is done:
- Before dyeing, the hat should first be washed without fabric softener to remove the finish. Then allow the hat to dry.
- Then crumple up the hat and tie it tightly with the string.
- Then pour boiling water into the large bowl and add Easy Color and some salt. The quantity ratio should be observed: For an intensive colouring, use about 3-5 litres of water for 150 g of fabric. You should also add 1 tablespoon of salt per 1 litre of water. The tied hat is first moistened a little and then placed in the dye bath. The fabric should remain in the dye bath for at least 20 minutes and be moved constantly.
- After 20 minutes, remove the hat from the dye bath and rinse under running water until the water remains clear. Then remove the yarn and leave to dry.
- Always wash textiles dyed with Easy Color separately by hand at max. 30° C with a mild detergent that is gentle on the colour. Frequent washing leads to a decrease in colour intensity. Fixing agent improves the washability, but does not guarantee absolute wash fastness.
