Washing instructions
- The batik bags should only be washed by hand with mild detergent at max. 30° C. Frequent washing leads to a decrease in colour intensity. Marabu Fixing Agent for EasyColor improves the washability.
How it is done:
- Wash the cotton bags before dyeing, do not use fabric softener. Tie the bag in several places with cotton yarn, if desired.
- Now pour three litres of boiling water into the bucket. Stir in the bag contents of the desired EasyColor shade and dissolve. Then add three tablespoons of table salt and dissolve as well.
- Moisten the bag with lukewarm water and squeeze gently. For a single colour result, place the bag completely in the dye liquor. For a multicoloured result, immerse only the tied area in the dye liquor and let it hang. Dye for at least 20 minutes, constantly moving the dyeing material.
- Then remove the bag and rinse in cold water until the water remains clear. For multi-coloured bags, repeat the dyeing process with another colour. Hang the bag up to dry after dyeing.
