How it is done:

  • Cover the work area and prepare materials. If necessary, clean the nuts before painting. They should be clean and dry.
  • First, carefully crack the walnuts open with a knife. Take care to leave the shell halves as undamaged as possible so that they can be reassembled later. Remove the nuts inside.
  • Apply hot glue to the edges of the two empty shell halves and reassemble.
  • To make it easier to handle the walnut shells when painting, place them on wooden skewers and place them in a holder, such as a box. This will make it easier to paint them evenly.
  • Now paint the walnuts with DO IT Craft Paint in different colors, either bright or opaque. You can leave the nuts on the wooden skewers to dry.
  • When dry, remove the wooden skewers and decorate the nuts.
  • Color Spray can also be used as an alternative to Craft Paint.
To do this, cover the work area well and also protect the work environment from the spray mist of the paint. The walnuts can be placed in a cardboard box. It is best to spray outdoors or provide adequate ventilation.

Carefully remove the actuators from the DO IT cans and remove the red safety valve. Replace the actuators and caps and shake the cans for 2-3 minutes. Spray the cans on cardboard/newspaper first to make sure there are no solids in the actuator.

Now spray the walnuts with the color spray while constantly moving, i.e. rocking or shaking the box. Keep moving the walnuts in the crate during the drying process to prevent them from sticking.
