How it is done:

  • Cover the work area, put on a painting smock, and prepare the materials. The shavings box must be empty. Clean if necessary. The can must be clean, dry and free of grease.
  • Cut off the two beads from the chip can and shorten the can to the desired size. Paint the tin and the wooden beads with Marabu KiDS Little Artist in red. Let the paint dry well.
  • Next, paint the entire surface of a sheet of paper with Marabu KiDS Little Artist in red. Again, allow the paint to dry well.
  • When dry, cut out the crab's claws. Either draw the shape directly on the red paper with a pencil or use a template.
  • Cut out the left and right crab scissors twice each.
  • Cut the pipe cleaners or chenille wire to the appropriate length. You will need 4 legs, 2 arms, and 2 pieces of wire for the eyes.
  • Now glue the eyes onto the red wooden balls and you can start assembling the crab.
  • First attach the wooden ball eyes to the corresponding pieces of wire. Glue in place with hot glue if necessary.
Then glue a crab arm between each pair of crab claws.
Glue the four crab legs to the side of the tin. It is best to place a dot of glue on the inside of the tin, glue the legs to the inside and guide them outwards. Allow the glued areas to dry well.
Place the crab on its legs and glue the arms to the top center. Again, place the glue dot on the inside of the tin and guide the arms to the outside at the top.
Finally, glue the two wires with the eyes on top.
