Older children are able to paint the single pieces of the puzzles first. Then they could put the painted pieces together. By using this technique you get perfect colour areas.

How it is done:

Put the pieces of the puzzle together.
First prime with white universal craft paint and let it dry. Now paint your 3D puzzle as you like using the different colour shades of the universal craft paint.
