Tips and Tricks

  • All Marabu KiDS Little Artist paints are water-based and can be mixed together. This means that you can easily mix your favorite green and yellow in a separate container.

How it is done:

  • Cover the work area, prepare the materials, and put on a painter's smock if necessary. Use a ruler to measure the top and bottom diameters of the flower pot, as well as the height. Transfer these measurements to the cardboard. Next, draw the outline of the cactus on the card.
  • Then cut out the cactus from the cardboard.
  • Paint the cut-out cactus with Marabu KiDS Little Artist opaque. Let the paint dry well. Paint the back of the cardboard cactus.
  • While the cactus are drying, the cardboard flower pot can be painted.
  • Use white Marabu KiDS Little Artist paint and a thin brush to add small accents to the cardboard cactus. As soon as the paint is dry, cut one of the cardboard cactuses from the top to 2/3 and the other one from the bottom to 2/3.
  • Both pieces of cardboard can then be inserted into each other.
  • Finally, pour Marabu KiDS craft glue into the bottom of the flower pot and glue the cardboard cactus in place.
