Tips and Tricks

  • Cap off and off you go: the Marabu DO IT marker does not need to be pumped.

How it is done:

  • Prepare all tools. The cooler should be clean, dry, and dust-free.
  • Cover the work area well and protect the environment from paint mist. It is best to spray outside or provide adequate ventilation.
Cover the top of the cooler with masking tape to protect it from the paint.
Carefully remove the actuators from the DO IT cans and remove the red safety valve. Replace the actuators and caps and shake the cans for 2-3 minutes. Spray the cans on cardboard/newspaper first to make sure there are no solids in the actuator.
Turn the cooler upside down and spray in a vertical motion starting at the top. Increase the distance between the can and the box toward the center to create a color gradient. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.
  • Use the DO IT Craft Paint in orange and a medium brush to paint round areas of color on the cooler. Allow the paint to dry well and go over it again with a second coat of paint.
  • While the DO IT Craft Paint is drying, the lid of the cool box can be labeled with the DO IT Craft Marker in orange - e.g. with the word "Summer". This can also be drawn on beforehand with a pencil. Several coats of paint may be necessary to achieve an opaque result. A white craft marker can then be used to add shadows and highlights to the lettering.
  • Now use the white DO IT Craft Marker to draw small dots over half of each of the dried orange circles to imitate orange peel.
  • Now use the white DO IT Craft Marker to draw little dots over half of the dried orange circles to look like orange peels. Let everything dry well and you're done.
