Tips and Tricks

If you do not have any colored beads, you can paint plain wooden beads with DO IT Craft Paint.

How it is done:

Cover the work area and prepare materials. The basket should be clean, dry, and free of dust.
Paint the individual struts of the basket with Marabu DO IT Craft Paint.
Apply additional shades as desired.
Finally, paint the edge of the basket with your favorite color. Let the paint dry thoroughly.
Meanwhile, tie the tassels. For one tassel, wrap the yarn around your hand about 30 to 40 times (depending on how thick you want the tassel to be) and then cut off the end.
Take the yarn wraps from your hand and tie them together in the middle, taking care to use a slightly longer thread for the tassel, as this will also be used to hang the tassel.
Tie another piece of thread around the entire yarn under the tied area to create the "head" of the tassel.
Cut the loops at the bottom and trim to length.
Now you can thread some wooden beads onto the hanger. Use the open ends of the hanger to attach the tassel to the edge of the basket.
