Marabu Porcelain & Glas Painter

Instructions:

The Porcelain & Glas Painter range offers colours with a system. Basic and trend colours can always be combined with the corresponding metallic and glitter colours. Whether tasteful tone-on-tone creations or extravagant colour combinations – everything is possible with the broad range of Marabu colours. The Painters can be used for many different painting techniques.

Porcelain & Glas Painters are available in 4 different tip shapes/sizes: From large-area painting with the Multi-purpose tip 2-4 mm, delicate painting with the Multi-purpose tip 0,8 mm to effective writing with the calligraphy tip 1-2,5 mm. The multi-purpose tip with a width of 1-2 mm is a practical all-round tool for writing and painting.

Leave to dry for 4 hours, then fire in the oven for 30 minutes at 160 °C (do not preheat). Leave to cool down in the oven. Painted tableware should be washed at max. 50 °C on a glasses/cups cycle.

Pumping/activating Porcelain Painter

The ink is highly viscous and contains a lot of pigment. It therefore requires some time until it appears at the tip, so please proceed with patience and care when pumping. Otherwise the paint might spurt from the side of the shaft if the marker was pumped too much. If this happens, wipe the marker or clean it with water: Remove the tip and rinse, dry completely and replace into the shaft, then carefully continue pumping.Accelerating drying

If you are in a hurry, the drying time can be reduced. To do this, let the object dry for approx. 4 hours, place it in a cold oven and set the temperature to 100 °C. When the temperature of 100 °C has been reached, heat the painted object at this temperature for 30 minutes and then let it cool down in the closed oven.Omitting cutting areas and drinking edges

Cutting areas of plates and drinking edges of mugs and glasses should not be painted as cutlery could damage the designs.Effective writing with the calligraphy pen

Please follow these guidelines to enjoy your markers for as long as possible: 1. Never leave the markers open for too long, not even during painting, as this can dry out the tip! 2. Remove any excess paint, always clean the markers and reclose the cap tightly! 3. Always store the markers horizontally.Dishes for everyday use

Glass and porcelain objects have to be cleaned thoroughly before painting. For especially effective cleaning, scrub the object with an abrasive detergent and a sponge and then wipe with Marabu Cleaner or with white spirit to ensure it is free from dust and grease. Before painting, rinse off all detergent residue with plenty of clean water.Fingerprints

When using Porcelain for KIDS, Porcelain Painter and Glas Painter with children please note: Do not touch the cleaned painting surface with your hands. Fingerprints can prevent the paint from adhering properly.Valve system/pump system: Pumping markers

To activate the valve system, shake the marker with the cap in place (the mixing balls have to be clearly audible). Then remove the cap and push down the tip down on a neutral surface a few times until the ink becomes visible. Please note: 1. The thin 0.8 mm tip only has to be pumped twice. 2. Metallic and glitter colours have to be shaken longer as the pigments are heavier. 3. Proceed slowly when pumping the Marabu Painters as too much pumping can lead to excessive discharge of ink.Dried or dirty paint tips

Simply remove dried or dirty pain tips from Deco Painter, Porcelain Painter, Glas Painter, Textil Painter plus or Textil Glitter Painter from the marker and clean them with water. Soak in warm water for a while if necessary. Then

Why do Marabu Porcelain & Glas Painter come off even though the objects are only washed up by hand?

The reason for this is often that the surface was not completely free from dust and oil. New objects should be cleaned with a scrubbing agent/dishwashing liquid and a sponge. Do not clean the objects in the dishwasher, as some rinse aids prevent the ink from adhering to the porcelain. Then thoroughly rub the surface with Marabu Cleaner & Thinner or white spirit to remove any finger prints. Can I use the Marabu Porcelain & Glas Painter to paint on Arcopal®?

Why does the Marabu Porcelain & Glas  Painter stop working after a very short time?

The Porcelain & Glas Painter has a very high yield. The paint tip is often only dried out and can easily be reactivated by lightly moistening them with water. The marker should be closed tightly as soon as possible after use.Combining Porcelain and Porcelain & Glas Painter

Can Marabu Porcelain and Marabu Porcelain & Glas Painter be used together?

Yes. Porcelain and Porcelain & Glas Painter are an ideal combination. Although the Porcelain paint needs no oven fixation, it can be baked along with the Porcelain & Glas painter. How can I clean dried up Painter tips?

The tips can be taken out of the marker and rinsed and cleaned under the tap. Then let the tips dry thoroughly and place them back into the marker. Start pumping and continue painting. What could be the cause for the paint flowing out of the marker and past the tip?

Maybe the marker was pumped too much or the tip has dried up. In both cases you should remove the tip from the marker and clean/rinse it under the tap. How can I remove the paint from textiles?

Soiled areas should immediately (very important!) be washed out by hand using lukewarm water and soft soap. Stubborn stains can be soaked in a floor cleaner solution (e.g. Cif) and then rinsed. Dried stains can possibly not be removed without residue.Baking the Porcelain & Glas Painter

Can Marabu Porcelain & Glas Painter also be baked?

Yes, it is recommended for dishwasher proof results. After letting it dry for at least 4 hours, place the object in the cold oven and heat to 160°C for 30 minutes. Let it cool down inside the oven after switching it off.

Our porcelain, glass and acrylic paint (Glass Paint/Acrylic Paint/Porcelain & Glass Painter, Porcelain & Glass Painter KIDS) is basically non-toxic and also saliva-proof. Nevertheless, we recommend not to paint drinking rims and cut surfaces of tableware, as the paint is not approved for direct food contact.
